A man was arrested after an attack with a hatchet at a homeless camp near Nissan Stadium.
According to a witness, 52-year-old Derrick Jackson was arguing with a woman at the camp when he allegedly started yelling and set a tent on fire.
The witness said he and another man tried to help the woman, and that’s when Jackson allegedly hit the other man in the head with a hatchet. The severity of the victim's injuries was not released.
The woman was reportedly not injured in the incident.
Jackson has been facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
