Officers said a second victim, a 33-year-old man, was also shot in his wrist and shoulder, possibly from the same bullet.
The second victim told police he and Ridley were sitting in a Buick Enclave outside Ridley's home when they were hit by the gunfire.
He added Ridley got out of the vehicle after being hit. The second victim drove himself to Southern Hills Hospital before being transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for surgery.
Authorities said they're optimistic the second victim will be able to provide additional details about what took place once his medical condition improves. His identity was not released.
No suspect information was available.
