A man was killed overnight in an officer-involved shooting in Cocke County.
The incident was reported around 12:30 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Highway 321 and Epley Road.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said officers responded to a report of a man walking in the roadway. He was reportedly carrying a gun and appeared to be agitated.
He was identified as 36-year-old Henry Gregory Stroud.
Stroud was ordered to drop his gun; however, the TBI said he pointed the gun at officers and was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
None of the officers were hurt.
