1 dead in industrial accident at Nashville moving company

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Authorities confirm one person has died in an industrial accident at a Nashville moving company.

Nashville Fire Department officials said Tuesday that crews were called to Alexander's Mobility Services on Cockrill Bend Boulevard. Spokesman Joseph Pleasant said the person died on scene.

The circumstances surrounding the incident were not known.

Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified of the workplace fatality on Tuesday.

TOSHA said they will begin the process of gathering information about what happened.

Investigators will survey the scene, review company procedures and protocols and attempt to interview witnesses and company management during the course of the investigation. TOSHA said the process could take between four and six months to complete.
