Investigators have identified the man killed in an overnight officer-involved shooting in Warren County.

The incident began around midnight Friday in the 1300 block of Chestnut Ridge Road in McMinnville.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation officials said officers were called to the scene to arrest 34-year-old Clifford Keller on outstanding warrants.

Authorities said Keller was also out of jail on a furlough and recently failed to report back to jail when ordered.

At some point, the situation escalated when Keller threatened a police dog that found him in a camper on the property. He allegedly fired a weapon from inside the camper, and later displayed a weapon in the direction of the officers.

The TBI said Keller did not comply with verbal commands to drop the weapon. At least one officer opened fire, striking Keller. He died at the scene.

Nome of the officers were injured during the incident.
