An employee was injured after an explosion at the Dar Pro Ingredients plant in Paducah.

According the the Paducah Police Department one person suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Authorities taped off a two-block perimeter around the site, and homes within that area have been evacuated.
Details of the cause or severity of the explosion were not released.
