A man was shot during an attempted armed robbery in West Nashville.
It happened at 5800 Maudina Avenue Monday night.
The victim was shot in the abdominal area one time by the suspect and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Metro Nashville police officials believed the suspect tried to rob the victim.
