A shooting that was reportedly drug-related on Peabody Street sent one person to the hospital.
The shooting happened at 7th Avenue South in Nashville around 4:40 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities confirmed the shooting appeared to be a drug-related robbery gone wrong. The victim said an argument took place with the suspect, which was when the suspect allegedly pulled out a pistol. Both of them struggled over it, and one round hit the victim.
The victim, who was around 50 years old, was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
The suspect was described as standing around 5'9'' tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds wearing a white t-shirt. Police said the suspect fled on foot toward the James Cayce homes.
The investigation remained ongoing.
