Police have been investigating an early morning shooting on Jefferson Street.
The crime happened in the 1000 block just before 3 a.m. Sunday.
Neighbors said they heard gunshots. They then found a 53-year-old victim on the sidewalk.
Authorities said he had been shot in his right leg and stomach. He was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting appeared to have happened between a liquor store and the side parking lot of that location. The motive for the shooting was unknown as police searched for the suspect.
