A man was injured Wednesday morning in a shooting just south of downtown Nashville.
The incident happened at 8:11 a.m. in the 800 block of Claiborne Street.
A man was standing on a sidewalk when a vehicle pulled up and someone shot at him. He was struck in the knee and was taken to an area hospital.
His injuries were not believed to be critical.
The shooter got away in the vehicle. Police have not yet released a photo of the suspect or the vehicle.
The motive for the shooting was not known.
