Man Charged In Fatal Nashville Hotel Shooting

A man has been charged with criminal homicide in connection with a fatal shooting at a Nashville hotel. 

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Raven Hotel on Brick Church Pike. 

Metro Nashville Police officers were already at the hotel when they heard the shots. Witnesses told police that Lawrence Sails shot 24-year-old  D’Twaun Moore and then fled into room 219, where he resides.

The 57-year-old suspect was taken into custody shortly after the shooting. 

Police said Sails, who has prior drug possession and theft convictions, refused to be interviewed.

A gun was recovered from his room. The motive for the shooting remained under investigation.
