WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. – One person has been killed and another injured in a crash in White House.
Officials said the crash happened Monday afternoon in the 3000 block of Tyree Springs Road.
Sumner County Sheriff, Sonny Weatherford told NewsChannel 5 that Roy William Ratliff of Macon County was pronounced dead at the scene.
He said Ratliff was driving a 2003 Toyota Camery, when it crossed into the southbound lanes on Tyree Springs Road and struck a white 2011 Jeep head on. The Jeep was driven by John Carroll.
Caroll was taken to Skyline Medical Center.
Investigators were still on the scene investigating what caused Roy to cross into on-coming traffic.
The crash happened about a quarter of a mile south of Ben Albert Road on Tyree Springs Road.
