COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WTVF) — One person was killed and two were injured in a deadly, wrong-way crash in Maury County.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Highway 43.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 59-year-old Johnny Scott was traveling southbound in northbound lanes when he struck a vehicle being driven by 33-year-old Thomas Blalock.
Scott died at the scene. Blalock and his passenger, 29-year-old Kendra Long, were injured.
THP troopers said alcohol was a factor with both drivers. None of them were wearing their seat belts, according to the crash report.
Criminal charges were pending in the case.
