One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Warren County, Kentucky.

Officials with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said the wreck happened around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Veteran’s Memorial Lane and New Bond Way.

Reports stated a 2017 Honda driven by 53-year-old James Madison, of Brownsville, Kentucky, hit the rear of a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer driven by 42-year-old William Burton, of Franklin, Kentucky.

Madison’s vehicle then went up an embankment and landed on its side.

Authorities said Madison was taken to the hospital where he died.

Burton and two passengers in his vehicle, a 71-year-old and a 5-year-old, were not hurt and refused treatment at the scene.

Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the crash. The investigation remained ongoing.
