NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One person was killed in a triple shooting in Nashville Thursday night.
It happened just before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ilolo Street and East Nocturne Drive near the Haynes Area north of Nashville.
Metro Police officials at the scene told NewsChannel 5 the shooting took place in the street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a middle-aged man in the intersection. He had already died from his injuries.
Two other people were shot. One of them was hit in the arm and their injuries are not life-threatening. However, the other, who was identified as the gunman, suffered serious injuries and underwent surgery at TriStar Skyline Medical Center.
Investigators spoke with multiple witnesses at the scene. They helped police identify the suspect who remains in custody at the hospital.
