One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Montgomery County.
The wreck happened around 4:30 a.m. Thursday on 101st Parkway.
Authorities said the driver, identified as 37-year-old Shaun Holder, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he went off the road for an unknown reason, hit an embankment, and flipped multiple times.
Holder was ejected. He was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he passed away.
Officials with the Clarksville Police Department said this was the 12th vehicle fatality for their department in 2017.
The investigation remained ongoing.
