A woman was killed and a child was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Rutherford County.
The wreck was reported just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 8000 block of Panther Creek Road.
Officials said the driver, identified as 24-year-old Lindsay P. Brogdon, of Rockvale, was driving at a high rate of speed when she veered off the road, struck a culvert, and rolled multiple times.
Authorities said Brogdon was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected and killed in the crash.
A child in the vehicle was injured. Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed the child was in a restraint device that was properly used.
