A cab driver was killed in a crash in downtown Nashville.
It happened Wednesday afternoon at 2nd Avenue South and Peabody Street.
The intersection was blocked in all directions as first responders and police worked the scene. Officials asked drivers to avoid the area.
Police identified the driver as 55 year-old Hizkias Woldegabriel.
Woldegabriel was stopped for the traffic light at the Peabody Street intersection when his minivan was hit by a northbound Ford Econoline van.
A passenger in the taxi and the two people in the Ford van were transported to the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
