1 Killed In Multi-Car Crash On I-24

One person was killed in a crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 24 in Rutherford County.

The wreck happened Monday on westbound I-24 at mile marker 69.

Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said a car being driven by 49-year-old Rudra Subba was traveling down the entrance ramp when the vehicle abruptly stopped – causing a chain reaction crash.

The car was struck from behind before being spun around into the path of another vehicle.

Four vehicles were involved in the collision.

Subba, of Antioch, was killed in the wreck. Two others were injured.
