One person was shot after interrupting a car burglary at a Murfreesboro apartment complex.
The incident happened overnight Wednesday at the Tremont Apartments on Tremont Drive.

Officials on the scene said the victim was inside an apartment when he heard the sound of glass breaking.
He ran outside and caught a suspect burglarizing a car.
When he confronted the suspect, he was shot. The gunman fled the scene.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with unknown injuries.
