NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person who murdered 50-year-old Antonio Flores Garcia at a South Nashville apartment complex.

Metro Police officials say Garcia was shot and killed Jan. 21. He was working on his car in the parking lot of the Haven Apartments complex on Bridgeway Circle. Police say a man approached Garcia, possibly to rob him, and the two began to fight.

The suspect ran away to a dark blue mid-2000s model Nissan Altima with tinted windows and chrome under the windows. But, as the car pulled away, someone inside it opened fire on Garcia, killing him, according to police.

Officials say a concerned Nashville resident posted the $10,000 reward.

The person that got in the fight with Garcia was described as being a young black man with a light complexion about 5’7” tall, has a thin build, and wore dark clothing.

Anyone with information on the shooting or the dark blue Nissan Altima was asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for an additional cash reward of up to $1,000.
