(WTVF) — Ten Middle Tennesseans will be featured on the Times Square jumbotron in New York City by the National Down Syndrome Society on Sept. 14.

NDSS annually shows a video presentation the morning of the Buddy Walk in New York City during Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

The event aims to remind the world about the gifts people with Down syndrome brings to their communities. The video features photographs of children, teens and adults with the chromosomal disorder to promote acceptance and inclusion.

The following Tennesseans will be participating:

  • Dawn Logan of Murfreesboro
  • Amiya Harper of Clarksville
  • Hannah Grace of Bethpage
  • Clara West of Cookeville
  • Adeline Holmes of Pegram
  • Hayden Harris of Franklin
  • Jaxx Jones of Tullahoma
  • Caden Osborne of Nashville
  • Mackenzie Michelson of Spring Hill
  • James Lampley of Dickson

These ten Tennesseans were selected from a pool of 3,000 entries in the NDSS worldwide call for photos. About 500 photos will be used in the video.
