FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. - The 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell has plenty of history.

A chapter of that history came to a close Thursday during the division's annual "Day of the Eagles."

The Parachute Demonstration Team, which started in 1958, was supposed to take its final jump during the closing ceremony of the day.

The team is essentially the Army's skydivers. They have performed at sporting and recruiting events.

Because the wind was too strong their last jump was probably unlike any they've ever done. See the video above for more.

The Army has been consolidating its parachute demonstration teams.

There will still be others around the country, including the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg.

The members of the 101st's team were set to head wherever the Army sends them next.
