NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police officers charged an 11-year-old child for bringing a blank gun to Head Middle School.
Police say a school resource officer was tipped off by another student Thursday. School administrators stopped the 6th grader Friday morning and found the gun in the front pocket of his pants.
The student admitted that he brought the blank gun to school Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It did not contain any blank rounds.
Police officials are continuing the investigation into how he got the gun.
