ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WTVF) — An 11-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a train Saturday morning.
Metro Police say Max Baker was on a railroad bridge near his Waikiki Boulevard home when hit by a freight train around 9:20 a.m. It happened on the overpass next to Franklin Limestone Road near Antioch Pike.
They say the train operator saw Baker but was not able to stop in time.
Early investigation states the incident appears to have been accidental. The investigation is ongoing.
