A 14-year-old boy died in a shooting at Brookway Drive and Westchester Drive in Nashville Friday night.

Metro police say the victim - Paul Steele - was standing in a yard just before 8:30 p.m. when a dark blue Honda Civic drove by and then turned around. The front seat passenger then shot at Steele and another person.

Steele was transported to Skyline Medical Center by personal vehicle before officers arrived on the scene. Medical staff attempted to save Steele, but were unable to do so, and he died at the hospital.

Investigators are now trying to identify the gunman in this case. Anyone with information about Steele's murder or who sees the suspect Honda Civic is asked to call the Department of Emergency Communications at (615) 862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at (615) 742-7463. Tips can also be left on P3Tips.
