15-year-old accused in Springfield shooting that killed teen

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police say an investigation is underway after a teenager was killed in a late-night shooting in Springfield. They say the suspect is believed to be a teen boy.

Officers responded to the scene on Pine Circle at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday. Police say a 17-year-old was found deceased. His name was not released.

Investigators say about two hours later, the alleged suspect – a 15-year-old boy – showed up at NorthCrest Emergency Room for treatment of a possible gunshot wound to the arm.
