ANTIOCH, Tenn. – A suspect, identified as 18-year-old Shirin Khwaga, and two others who were with her, were arrested after fleeing from police. All three have been charged with various crimes.

Police said they were searching for Khwaga after a 16-year-old was fatally shot in Antioch.

Officials confirmed 16-year-old Kevin Ibarra, a student at Cane Ridge High School, was shot and killed in the kitchen of his home in the 1900 block of Isabelle Lane around 12:15 p.m. Friday.

Police said Khwaga later fled officials and crashed her Honda Civic into a utility pole on Mt. View Circle around 4:16 p.m. Friday.

Two teenage brothers who were with Khwaga were also arrested. Police identified them as 18-year-old Markeil Williams, who is Khwaga's boyfriend, and 15-year-old Jalean Williams.

According to reports, Markeil and Khwaga remained in the Civic after the crash and were arrested there. However, the 15-year-old fled from the car with two semi-automatic pistols and a plastic tub of marijuana. He was captured a short time later.

Khwaga and Markeil have been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, possession of marijuana for resale, four counts of unlawful gun possession, and both felony and misdemeanor counts of evading arrest.

Officials said the aggravated robbery charges stemmed from a home invasion late Saturday morning on Cedar Pointe Parkway.

The 15-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana for resale, four counts of unlawful weapon possession, and misdemeanor evading arrest.

Authorities said they believe Friday's fatal shooting of Ibarra was connected to Thursday night’s fatal shooting of 20-year-old Cianan Napier behind a residence on Patricia Drive near Glastonbury Road. Officials added they do still believe Khwaga and the Williams brothers have connections to the two deaths.

Further testing and evidence analysis will be conducted in both fatal shootings before any other charges will be filed.

"This is not acceptable and needs to stop," said Metro Police Spokesperson, Don Aaron. "We're making a lot of arrests, but the violence is continuing. The police department can't do it by itself."
