17-Year-Old Girl Killed In Distracted Driving Crash

A 17-year-old was killed in a head-on crash in Giles County.

According to officials with the Lewisburg Police Department, the crash happened on State Route 11, Minor Hill Hwy, shortly after 4 p.m.

One of the drivers was a 17-year-old girl, who died at scene of the crash. The other driver involved was an adult man, who police said crossed the center line, hitting the teen head-on. 

The man was conscious on scene and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The crash was being investigated as a distracted driving crash by police. No charges had been filed yet.
