182 inmates test positive for COVID-19, Davidson County Sheriff's Office says

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Davidson County Sheriff's Office reported a cluster of COVID-19 cases among inmates in the jail.

As of Monday, 182 inmates had active cases of the coronavirus while 22 have tested positive and since recovered.

The sheriff's office said 305 inmates are on COVID-19 restriction for possible exposure.

The department also reported 17 employees with active cases and 11 who had confirmed cases but are now recovered.

Last week, the sheriff's office said 502 inmates at the Harding Place Correctional Center were tested following a cluster of cases among 48 inmates.
