NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Anyone in need of some back to school clothes has the chance to take part in a free giveaway.
The Tusculum Church of Christ in South Nashville has been set to host its 18th Annual Caring by Sharing event Saturday.
Every year, thousands of people have received new or gently used clothes and school uniforms.
The clothes have been free to anyone in the community, no strings attached.
Those in charge of the event said there would also be free childcare available while customers shop.
“We know that it's very tough these days economically to actually be able to go out and buy clothes, so this is just our way to provide a very basic need, and the way we look at it, it's a way to show unconditional love,” said Julie Whisler, the event’s organizer.
The event has been scheduled for this Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Those in charge said there’s usually a huge turnout, so the church recommended customers show up early and be prepared to wait in line.
