1st Ever Paws & Play Music Festival Held

Posted

Country Music fans and their dogs came together for the unofficial kickoff to the CMT Music Awards week.

The first ever Paws and Play music festival was held at Cumberland Park Sunday.

The Nashville Humane Association was there with dogs up for adoption. Dogs and their humans enjoyed doggie yoga, photo ops, food trucks, and free live music by Cassadee Pope.

“Dogs are like family, so country music is all about family,” Pope said. “It's great when you can bring your family to things, and a lot of shows that I play, I see kids running around and everybody is always bringing their kids to stuff, so why should it be different for dogs? They should have some fun, too.”

This was the first of several free events that will be held throughout the week in conjunction with the CMA Music Festival.
