Two men are believed to be involved in a violent crime spree in Columbia.

Police investigated two assaults and a call for a stolen vehicle that all took place within 40 minutes, and they believe the same two guys orchestrated all of it.

The suspects, identified as 29-year-old Brandon Alan Beard and 30-year-old Justin Earl Tosh have been arrested for these three crimes that happened Wednesday night, according to officials with the Columbia Police Department.

The first was an alleged aggravated assault with a handgun on School Street, and the second crime was called in about twenty minutes later when someone was physically assaulted and threatened with a gun at the Regions Bank ATM on Carmack Boulevard.

Not long after those crimes, police received a report of a stolen pickup truck near Carmack Boulevard and Dyer Street.

Police found Beard and Tosh with that truck on Dodson Gap Road and took them into custody.

Investigators said they believe the two used an airsoft gun during the assaults. That gun was recovered by police.

Beard was charged with aggravated robbery and theft over $10,000. Tosh was charged with aggravated robbery, theft over $10,000, and two counts of aggravated assault.

Anyone with information that can help with this investigation has been asked to call the Columbia Police Department at 931-560-1670 or Maury County Crime Stoppers at 931-381-4900.
