Two people were taken into custody after allegedly crashing a car in Smyrna and then attempting to carjack someone.
The incident was reported around 9 a.m. Tuesday when police received a call of an attempted armed robbery.
Smyrna Police officials said two people jumped out of a vehicle after crashing into a Walgreens parking lot on Nissan Drive.
From there, they allegedly ran to a Walmart parking lot and tried to carjack someone. They were unsuccessful and taken into custody.
Police said both suspects were armed with pistols. No one was hurt.
Their names were not immediately released.
