Two men were arrested and charged in a burglary of a Rutherford County home and barn.
Charles Parker, 24, of Woodbury and Dwayne Parker, 36, of Ghee Road were each charged with two counts of aggravated burglary and two counts of theft.
A witness told detectives with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office they saw the men breaking into a home on Coleman Road and allegedly stole tools from a barn nearby.
Deputies spotted the suspects parked in a driveway close to the area.
“The suspects were found to have several tools and equipment within the van,” Sgt. Trey Nunley reported. “The tools found within the van were, in fact, the tools taken from the family’s barn as positively identified by the victim.”
They recovered a bottle of medication prescribed to a resident on Jacobs Road and jewelry taken from the home was recovered in the van.
The Parkers were booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where Charles Parker’s bond was set at $40,000 and Dwayne Parker’s bond was set at $34,000.
A hearing was set for May 18 in General Sessions Court.
