GALLATIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two people have been charged in connection with an overdose death in Gallatin.

Gallatin police said Brandon Flatford is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Philip Dobbler, who died in May 2018.

Flatford was arrested following a nine-month investigation.

Police said Flatford is suspected of selling Dobbler with Fentanyl-laced substance as heroin, which contributed to his death.

Flatford’s sister-in-law, Melissa Patterson, was also arrested and charged with one count of sale of Schedule I substance (heroin).
