Two people were critically hurt after a collision between a car and a semi in Murfreesboro.
The incident happened Monday morning on South Church Street at Joe B. Jackson Parkway.
Officials with Murfreesboro Police said witnesses reported that a car traveling on Church Street ran a red light and crashed into the trailer of the semi.
One person was taken by ground to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, while another was airlifted. Both were said to be in critical condition.
The fatal accident crash team was called to the scene to investigate.
Police said Church Street will be partially blocked, with traffic being redirected, for several hours.
