2 Giles Co. Students Arrested For Having Guns At School

Two Giles County students were arrested after being caught on campus with guns.

The Giles County High School Resource Officer responded to a complaint of a student with a weapon behind the school.

Officer Gilbert found 18-year-old Orlando Eugene Ray Jr. in the car rider line waiving a gun on the exterior of his vehicle.

Ray Jr. reportedly had a loaded .45 caliber weapon and a 15-year-old in the passenger seat had a loeaded .380 caliber weapon.

The juvenile was transported to Juvenile Youth Services and Ray Jr. was transported to Giles County Sheriff’s Department.

Both subjects were charged with Possession of Firearm on School Property. The investigation continued with additional charges pending.
