NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two people were seriously injured when a boat exploded at Blue Turtle Bay Marina.
The incident Friday afternoon was being investigated by the fire marshal.
According to reports, two people on a cabin cruiser had just filled up with $400 worth of fuel. Shortly after that, the boat exploded.
Authorities said the boat was fully engulfed in flames and the two victims were on the shore when the fire department arrived on scene.
Both victims were taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for serious injuries. Officials said they were expected to survive.
The fire has been put out. No further details were immediately available.
