2 Injured In La Vergne Shooting, Crash

Two people were injured in a shooting and crash involving four people in La Vergne.

Details of the incident were still unclear, but police believe the incident began at a nearby Tobacco Mart near the intersection of Stones River and Murfreesboro Road in La Vernge.

One of the cars tried to drive away, but hit multiple cars, ran a red light and hit another car in the process.

At the crash, officers found one person with a gunshot wound and another who was injured in the crash. Both were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Early reports stated one of them was critically injured.

Two of the cars were carrying the four people involved - two in each car. Police believe all all of them knew each other.

Three people were detained by police, but it was unclear who would be charged with what.
