At least two men were on the run after breaking into a Subway in South Nashville overnight.
The owner of the restaurant on Murfreesboro Pike said the men smashed the glass of the front door around 12:30 a.m. Sunday then reached in and unlocked it, letting themselves in.
Images of the men and their getaway car were released from Subway's surveillance camera. Police said they took off in a silver Chevy Trailblazer.
Police were tipped off when a burglary alarm went off. The owner told NewsChannel 5 the cash register was empty, and they weren't able to get into the safe. Nothing was reported stolen. The owner said the burglars caused several thousand dollars in damage.
The owner believed a third person was with them driving the getaway car.
Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME (615-742-7463).
