2 Robberies At Gunpoint Downtown Possibly Related

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro Police said two early morning robberies in downtown Nashville could be related.

A man and his girlfriend were walking on 16th Avenue South near Music Row around 2 a.m. Sunday when they said a Pontiac Grand Am pulled up beside them, and the driver demanded their cash at gunpoint, according to officials.

Then 20 minutes later, another man a few blocks away on 17th Avenue South near Edgehill Avenue told police a Pontiac Grand Am pulled up beside him, and the driver demanded his belongings at gunpoint.

Police said they had not made any arrests, and they did not have any suspects. The investigation was ongoing.
