Two people were shot overnight near the pedestrian bridge in downtown Nashville.
The call went out around 2 a.m. Saturday on the steps leading up to the bridge.
Officials said two people were struck and taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No suspect description was available at this time. The motive for the shooting was unknown.
