NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Authorities have been searching for two men who stormed a Daily's and allegedly shot the clerk before taking off.
The incident happened early Sunday morning at the Daily’s on Charlotte Pike near the Nashville West shopping center.
Police said the two suspects wanted the keys to the safe, but the clerk said she didn't have them.
The crime was captured on a surveillance camera. Police released those photos to the public.
Officers said the robbers took off with some cigarettes and cash from the register, and shot the female clerk in the leg before making their escape.
According to authorities, the clerk was unable to call 911, but a customer who wandered in after the shooting found her and called police.
The clerk was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
