Two former Marine Corps veterans are running across the country to raise awareness about PTSD and veteran suicides, and they stopped in Music City on Saturday.

Will Owens, Dustin Schnatz, and their two dogs make up the group "Run 2x2 Vets."

Together, they raise awareness and money for organizations focused on helping prevent PTSD-related suicide among military veterans.

They started in San Diego on May 1 and plan to end in Virginia Beach by July 7.

Both guys said they know first-hand the effects of PTSD and will never stop spreading awareness.

"As a by product, we've been raising money as we've been running across. The money that we do raise, 100 percent is going to the charities that we personally used to help us with our struggles," Dustin Schnatz said.

The men are raising $20,000 for three charities that help veterans. To learn more, visit  their website.
