27 Dogs Die In House Fire

Posted

More than two dozen animals were killed in a fire that nearly destroyed a Clarksville home.

Firefighters were able to save 16 dogs but pulled 27 deceased dogs from the burning home on Dygert Court.

Officials said it was not a hoarding situation. The homeowners were running a canine training program out of their home. Some of the dogs' owners live as far away as Germany.

The home wasn't a total loss but it is uninhabitable.
