One of two suspects charged in the homicide of a Nashville store clerk was expected to appear before a judge, but his court date was continued.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said 28-year-old Daniel Clark and 15-year-old Trinity Quinn have both been charged with criminal homicide in the “brutal” case.

Friday morning was set to be Clark's first appearance in court since Tuesday night's murder; however, the judge announced his date had been continued to 9:15 a.m. on Friday, May 12.

As of Friday morning, Quinn remained at the juvenile detention center; however, the District Attorney could decide to charge her as an adult.

Investigators said the teen had opportunities to run away and was never held against her will.

New surveillance video showed the pair just moments after 58-year-old John Stevens was killed inside his store.

Police said after Clark shot and killed Stevens, they tried to steal what they believed was his car in the parking lot.

The video allegedly showed Clark shooting out the window and Quinn getting into the car, but they couldn't get it to start.

They were arrested just a mile-and-a-half away on Charlotte Pike after an intense manhunt throughout the night and morning.

A visitation and memorial for Stevens have been set for Monday.
