A second suspect has been taken into custody after Metro police say a set-up robbery turned into a deadly shooting in Nashville.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said Allison Smith and his partner, Randall Caradine, pulled a gun and robbed a man at an apartment complex on Old Hickory Boulevard.
Molena Holt allegedly tricked that man into driving her to the Madison apartment complex where police said Smith and Caradine attacked him.
Holt allegedly told police she owed them $30 for a drug debt.
As Smith and Caradine tried to get away, the victim pulled a gun of his own and fired - hitting Caradine in the chest.
Investigators said Smith dropped Caradine off at a business on Old Hickory Boulevard, where he told employees to call 911. He was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where he died.
Holt was charged with facilitating an armed robbery. Smith has been taken into custody and charged with aggravated robbery. A booking photo was not immediately available.
No charges have been filed against the victim as the investigation continues.
