SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – Authorities have confirmed that the passenger involved in a motorcycle crash has passed away from her injuries.
The wreck happened around 6:48 p.m. Thursday in the 3000 block of Distillery Road in Robertson County.
Authorities had originally confirmed the driver of the motorcycle, identified as 45-year-old Ray O. Bevel, died in the crash.
His passenger, 47-year-old Tiffany F. Mayes, was injured in the wreck, but has since died from the injuries she sustained.
Officials said the motorcycle was traveling north when it ran off the side of the road into a ditch.
According to authorities, neither of the victims had been wearing a helmet, but officials added it wasn’t known if helmets would have prevented the fatal injuries.
