Three suspects, including a juvenile, were taken into custody after a carjacking in Rutherford County and a subsequent pursuit along Interstate 40.
The incident began Wednesday night in La Vergne when three men armed with a shotgun allegedly stole a man’s gold Nissan Altima.
Later in the evening, a taxi driver reported being robbed at an apartment complex on Glastonbury Road in the Donelson area.
At that point, police realized the same people in that robbery may have been involved in the La Vergne carjacking.
An officer later spotted the suspects in a different car at a gas station on Vultee Boulevard at Briley Parkway.
He followed them onto Briley Parkway and eventually onto I-40 East, where a pursuit ensued for several miles.
Eventually, police deployed spike strips and stopped the silver Honda at mile marker 222.
Officers searched the vehicle and found a long gun in the car. Three men were taken into custody, one of whom was a juvenile.
The unidentified juvenile was also arrested for robbery a few weeks ago.
Investigators said the gold Nissan Altima is still missing, but they found the tags for the vehicle inside the Honda.
